SkillVault v1.0 Launch: The Vault Opens

Oct 20, 2026 2 min read By SkillVault Team

Today the vault opens. SkillVault 1.0 is live: a curated library of runnable, importable AI agent skills — plus the tooling to edit, validate and export them as standard .aiskill files.

What’s shipping

The library. 14 launch skills across Development, Writing, Marketing, Data, Productivity, Research, Design and Business — each with full configs, variable tables, install guides and tested environments. Free skills publish their complete config on-page; premium skills keep raw configs server-side.

The aiskill/v1 format. A documented, platform-neutral envelope for skills: prompts, variables, install metadata, semantic versions. JSON and YAML twins, verified by the editor’s live validator. Full spec on the .aiskill specification page.

The online editor. Form-driven editing with a two-way JSON/YAML preview, syntax validation, local file import (.aiskill / .json / .yaml) and one-click export. Free exports carry a light metadata watermark; Pro exports are clean.

Accounts & membership. Google/GitHub one-click sign-in, bookmarks with groups, download history, and a private skill vault for Pro members. Payments, invoices and cancellation are all self-service — no email required to cancel.

Subscriptions. Free (5 downloads/day), Monthly Pro at $4.99, and Yearly Pro at $39.99 with the yearly exclusive skill pack (Competitor Teardown and Landing Page Architect at launch), batch .zip export and early feature access.

SEO & performance

Every page is statically generated HTML with unique titles and descriptions, JSON-LD structured data (SoftwareApplication, Article, FAQ, Breadcrumbs), lazy-loaded WebP covers and an auto-generated sitemap. Dynamic behavior — search, filters, auth, checkout — hydrates only where needed.
